Konica Minolta Awards “The Best Performer 2017 in Asia” to Copylandia

km 2017

Konica Minolta and Develop distributors worldwide gathered at the Manila Dusit Hotel on May 29 to 30 for the Konica Minolta Conference 2017, with the theme “The Year of Hybrid Value” which emphasized creating greater value for customers through combinations of software and machine solutions. The conference was attended by a total of 118 participants from 14 subsidiaries and 27 distributors. It was the first time that this annual conference was held in Manila.

Among the topics in the conference was Konica Minolta’s thrust to gain leadership in the Production Printing markets with the official launching of the new Develop Ineo+2070, a 70 ppm model that replaces the best-selling Ineo+1070 model. Also presented were KM’s early successes in its foray in the Industrial Printing market, with its acquisition of MGI to strengthen its offering of digital print finishing in the graphic arts and packaging market.

During the official dinner on May 29, Konica Minolta bestowed to Copylandia “The Best Performer in Asia” award, as a recognition of Copylandia’s success in making Develop digital presses and Develop multifunction copiers market leaders in the Philippine market, and besting all the distributors in the region. Mr. Ken Osuga, Konica Minolta’s Senior Executive Officer, gave the award to Mr. Feliciano A. Juarez, Jr., President of Copylandia, in behalf of Konica Minolta President and CEO, Mr. Shoei Yamana, who had to go back to Tokyo after gracing the opening of the conference. Before his departure, Mr. Yamana personally thanked Mr. Juarez for Copylandia’s efforts in successfully promoting Develop production printers and copiers, manufactured by Konica Minolta.

After the workshop sessions in the morning of May 30, participants were treated out to their tour of choice: the Panoramic Tagaytay Tour, the Old and New Manila Sightseeing Tour, or the Mega Shopping and Casino Tour. In the evening, the participants were treated to a dinner at the Peninsula Hotel, where they were treated to Filipino food, dance and music making their Manila trip truly unforgettable.

Founded in 1948, Develop is a German brand of copying and printing solutions. With nearly 70 years of industrial experience, Develop is one of the world’s leading brands of digital copiers. Now fully owned by Konica Minolta Inc. of Japan, Develop is synonymous with top-quality office communication systems, growing into a market-leading provider of color and black and white multifunctional print systems and production printers.

Riso Kagaku Corporation of Japan awarded Copylandia the Best Distributor for Asia Pacific for the Risograph digital duplicators, and the Best Distributor award for the ComColor Inkjet Printers during the RISO Asia Pacific Conference held in Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan, from June 14 to 16, 2016.

It is the second time that Copylandia won the two top Riso awards on the same year after achieving the same feat 2013. Since Copylandia also won the Best Distributor Award for the Riso Digital Duplicators in 2014, this year’s award made it a three-peat victory!  Due to the country’s steady economic growth and Copylandia’s strong marketing and customer service efforts, Riso machine sales have continuously been increasing in the past 5 years.

In 2014, although Copylandia received an award for Outstanding Sales in ComColor, it conceded the Best Distributor Award to Yuangmo International Corp of Taiwan, but regained the plum in 2015. Copylandia has successfully promoted the ComColor’s high-speed, low-cost, and extremely reliable performance and have installed to commercial printers, government agencies, schools, hospitals, training and review centers, and other offices that have big print volumes.

Feliciano A. Juarez, Jr. and Bernadette G. Juarez, Copylandia President and EVP, respectively, received the awards from Mr. Fumiya Tomiyama, Riso Deputy General Manager and Mr. Naoki Ujiie, Director and General Manager for Asia Sales Department.

After the awarding ceremony, Mr. Juarez gave a presentation about the Riso Business in the Philippines, where he shared the marketing and customer service strategies and efforts Copylandia employed in successfully promoting both the Risograph and the ComColor, defying the global trend where the efforts to push the ComColor inkjet printers adversely affects Risograph sales.

Copylandia is looking forward to duplicating the same successes in 2016!

 events 2015

2015 was a stellar year for Copylandia, as it achieved several outstanding feats: 1) Develop, its multifunction copier brand, garnered the number 1 market share for copiers in the Philippine market; 2) Copylandia was awarded by Riso Kagaku Corporation of Japan as the Best Distributor for Asia for the Risograph digital duplicators; 3) Riso also bestowed to Copylandia the Best Distributor award for its ComColor High Speed Inkjet Printers.

Copylandia’s achievements in 2015 were made easier to achieve with the fact that the line up of brands and products that it carries are among the top-best technologies in copying, printing and finishing. And, the trade exhibitions and events that it joined in 2015 strongly contributed to Copylandia’s outstanding, best ever and record-breaking sales performance.

Showcased in these exhibitions were the Develop multifunction copiers, manufactured and supplied by Konica Minolta Inc. of Tokyo, Japan, which according to the IDC report was the number one copier brand in the Philippine market in 2015. Popular in the exhibits, for its office machine category, were the Develop Ineo+221, the affordable entry-level full-color model, and Ineo+284e, a 28-ppm high performance full color multifunction copier.

The heavyweight stars of the exhibition are Develop’s digital press solutions: the top-of-its-class Develop Ineo +1100, a 100 ppm full-color digital production printer designed to take on the popular digital presses four to five times its price; the best-selling Develop Ineo+1070, an outstanding 70 ppm full-color printer which presents the best price versus performance value; and the Develop Ineo +71hc, a high chroma printer which makes your RGB workflow fast and efficient and prints with vivid colors that practically leap off the page.

Paraded during these events were the new models of the Risograph, particularly the Riso CV-3230 and the top-of-the-line, Riso SE-9380 and ME-9350. The SE-9380 is the world’s fastest digital duplicator running at 185 prints ppm on A3 paper, while the ME-9350 is the world’s fastest 2-color in one pass digital duplicator at 150 ppm on A3 paper. Both high-end Risograph models are running on 600 dpi x 600 dpi, offset quality output, and are geared towards helping offset machine printers in the Philippines, cut on pre-press cost and labor cost, and enjoy fast turn-around of jobs for much higher productivity and income.

The show-stoppers were the ComColor inkjet printers, the fastest sheet-fed inkjet printers with the lowest running cost. The ComColor 9150, running at 150 ppm in full color or black and white is simply incredible in its dependability and productivity. Along with the ComColor 7150 a 120 ppm full-color model, the ComColor 3110, the 90 ppm full-color model and the ComColor 2150, a 150 ppm black and red model, these ComColor printers present enormous cost saving and income generating solutions for commercial printers, publishers, copy centers, printshops, and offices.

Aside from this complete range of digital printing solutions, Copylandia also provide a comprehensive range of finishing solutions for its customers from Horizon Japan, such as perfect binders, cutters or trimmers, folding machines, creasers and collators. These finishing solutions allow Copylandia to offer a complete Print-On-Demand (POD) solution, comprised of a Develop digital press, a ComColor inkjet printer, a Horizon perfect binder and a Horizon paper cutter. This is a complete printing and publishing set-up that is popular among publishers, and offices with huge printing volume requirements.

Other brands showcased by Copylandia are KIP wide format systems, GBC laminating machines, Ibico binding systems, Evolis card printers, EBA paper cutters, HSM shredders and baling presses and Dokmee document management systems.

Irashaimase! The President and CEO of RISO Kagaku Corporation, Mr. Akira Hayama, recently paid an official visit to Copylandia Office Systems Corporation.

Mr. Hayama visited the Copylandia Corporate Building in Mandaluyong City last November 19. On hand for the occasion were Copylandia’s President and CEO Feliciano Juarez Jr., Executive VP and Co-founder Bernadette Juarez, and all top managers from the Manila head office. Accompanying Mr. Hayama was RISO Regional Sales Manager Junichiro Sato.

Copylandia Office Systems Corporation, together with RISO Kagaku Corporation, recently held the annual RISO Technical Competition last Nov. 10, 2014 at the Copylandia Head Office.

The annual competition gathered outstanding service engineers from Copylandia branches across the Philippines to display their skills in practical knowledge and troubleshooting of RISO digital duplicators.

RISO Global Technical Manager Hizomasa Nakajima, along with RISO representatives Takashi Hasegawa and Nozomi Kondo, flew in from Tokyo especially for the event. Also in attendance were Copylandia’s President and CEO Feliciano Juarez Jr, and RISO Sales Manager Junichiro Sato.

Have you seen the spanking new ComColor Truck?

Copylandia Office Systems Corporation recently acquired the latest vehicle for its service fleet, a 2014 model Mitsubishi Canter delivery truck. Nicknamed the “ComColor Truck”, the Canter joins the famous ComColor Caravan as the newest vehicle to carry the ComColor branding.

The ComColor truck proudly showcases two of the RISO ComColor‘s groundbreaking attributes: the world’s fastest printing speed as seen by the F1 racing theme on the left side, and the lowest full-color printing cost in the market, as shown on the right side. The 3D effect is intended to turn heads to more effectively convey the ComColor printer’s revolutionary printing technology to the public.

Copylandia Office Systems Corporation was the proud printing partner of the 2014 Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) annual national convention.

Held last Sept. 24-26 in SMX Davao, the three-day convention was attended by 3,221 participants from partner schools all across the country. This year’s theme was “Set Forth in Faith: Defining the transformative role of Catholic education in a changing world”.

As CEAP’s official printing partner, Copylandia supplied the latest in printing and finishing equipment, paperstocks and technical personnel to fulfill all of the conference’s printing needs.

Foremost among these machines is the state-of-the-art RISO ComColor 9150. Made by the same company that produced the famous Risograph machines, the ComColor is the world’s fastest color inkjet printer with the lowest printing cost. With monochrome copies costing less than P0.10 and full-color prints costing less than P0.20, the ComColor was the perfect tool for printing CEAP’s newsletters, information sheets, and posters in large volumes.

For printing needs that required glossy paper, Copylandia brought along the Develop ineo+452 multifunction copier. The German branded copier produced the delegate IDs, brochures and glossy pamphlets needed for the summit.
