NAPSSPHIL 2nd PRINCIPALS CONGRESS
The National Association of Public Secondary Schools of the Philippines (NAPSSPHIL), Inc., held its Second NAPSSPHIL Principals Congress on January 20 to 22, 2010 at the luxurious Legend Hotel and Convention Center in the picturesque city of Puerto Princesa,Palawan.With the theme, “New Challenges, New Beginnings, New Hopes:Renewing Our Faith in Philippine Education,” principals of public secondary schools nationwide thoroughly discussed the different challenges facing Philippine education and the concerted response of the organization.

The Second Principals Congress prepared school officials for the implementation of the 2010 Secondary Education Curriculum and updated them on the Department of Education Performance Evaluation System.The event also gave the principals an opportunity to assess the implementation of school-based management programs in their respective schools.

The keynote speech of the congress was delivered by Sec. Jesli Lapus of the Department of Education and the delegates were welcomed by Puerto Princesa City Mayor, Edward Hagedorn and PalawanGovernor, Joel Reyes. The momentous gathering was concluded by an exciting tour of world class tourist spots in the host city.
